Anthony A. DeCroce, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, Connie, and his three sons, on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at the age of 76.
Anthony was the son of the late Frank DeCroce and Frances (Gagliardi) DeCroce. He was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in Belleville, Bloomfield and West Caldwell before retiring in Forked River, N.J.
Anthony spent his career with Wakefern Food Corporation and retired in 2008, after 35 years of service. Anthony enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. He loved spending time with old friends and enjoyed listening to the oldies and dancing with his one true love.
He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 56 years, Connie (Cozzi); devoted sons, Anthony and his wife, Joan of Long Valley, N.J.; Vincent and his wife, Lisa of East Hanover, N.J., and Christopher of Flemington, N.J.; adored grandchildren, Frank, Anthony, Gina, Alyssa, Carleigh, Dominick and Adrienne; loving sister, Mary Anne DeCroce Buchanan, and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Codey & Jones Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, N.J. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell.
