ShopRite retiree had a great love of gardening
Alan D. Hay, 80, of Dunellen, N.J., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7 at the Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater, N.J., with his loving family by his side. Born in Orange, N.J., he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Clark) Hay.
Alan worked for many years as a receiver for ShopRite, mainly in Somerset, N.J., before retiring some years ago. In his spare time, he had a great love of gardening. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Patricia in 2003. Alan is survived by his daughters: Patricia Doll and husband, Brian, Kathleen Konopka and husband, Ronald, and cherished grandchildren, Kelsey, Kayla, Taylor, Luke and Christie.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, March 15, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave. in Dunellen. All other services are private.
