Anna Di Benedetto (nee Solimene), of Little Falls, N.J., passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at TBA on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Holy Angels Church in Little Falls. Entombment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, N.J. Visiting is on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair.
Anna was born and raised in Aquilonia, Italy, where she became an accomplished seamstress at a very early age. She immigrated to South Africa and then later to the United States in 1969. She loved cooking , sewing and enjoying the company of her family and friends. She was especially proud of her grandchildren.
She was an active member in Club Aquilonese in Montclair and Ieri-Oggi-Domani.
Anna is survived by her son, Piero and his wife, Cathi; her daughter-in-law Lisa; her grandchildren, Tommy and his fiancée, Gigi, Michael and Stephanie; her sisters-in-law, Maria, and her husband, John; Angelina, Connie, Flavia and Immacolata; many nieces and nephews, and her grand-dog Stella, and will be sadly missed by her caretaker, Elenia.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gaetano, in 2009, and her son, Nicolino; by her brother, Donato, and her brothers-in-law, Gerardo and Donato.
