Harry F. Tepe
WWII veteran, deputy police chief in Belleville
Today we would have been celebrating my father's 97th birthday, but instead we are honoring him and his departure to glory. We were blessed to have had a Christian father who instilled in us the values of life, taught us how to love, and provided for our every need.
Harry F. Tepe was born on February 24, 1923, and passed on December 30, 2019. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was deputy chief of the Belleville Police Department up to his retirement.
He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Pauline Balsamo; a son, Albert, and a grandson, Peter Joshua.
Harry is survived by his two daughters, Harriet Zenna and son-in-law, Vincent, of Toms River, N.J., and Paulette Polo of Iselin, N.J.; two grandchildren, Vincent and Dominie; and five great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Vincent, Ally, Mateo and Leah.
A private Christian burial was held on January 3, 2020.
To everyone who knew and loved our dad, thank you for being a part of his life and God Bless you.
