Barbara A. Munford, 81, of East Orange, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Messiah Baptist Church, 13-17 Oak St., East Orange. Visitation is this evening, Monday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church, and Tuesday morning 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment is in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.J. Arrangements are by "Woody "Home For Services," Orange, N.J.
Born in Newark, N.J., Barbara was a resident of East Orange for 65 years. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant with Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, N.J., for 25 years before retiring.
Barbara was the beloved mother of Lydia Munford-Armstrong, Deborah, Sherry, Tamara, Troy and Regina Munford; loving sister of Tonya Barfield, Al, Richard and Charles Johnson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
