PRICE, Alma Faye Alma Faye Price passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her home in Duncanville Texas. She was born September 21, 1934 in Abilene, Texas to Grover Cleveland and Alma (nee Adams) Morlan. Alma Faye attended Abilene Christian University and received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education in May of 1955. While a student at ACU, Alma Faye met her husband Wes. Following her graduation, they were married on June 16, 1956. During their 63-year marriage they had three children, Kathy, Rebecca, and Wesley. Alma Faye had a lifelong career as an elementary school teacher, holding teaching positions in Lubbock, Chapel Hill and Midlothian, Texas and at Christian Academy of Oak Cliff, among others. She was devoted to the work of the various congregations of the Churches of Christ that she and Wes attended, serving in numerous positions including teaching, women's ministry, and most recently as the secretary for the Jefferson Boulevard and then Edgefield Church of Christ in Dallas. As a mother and grandmother Alma Faye was beloved. Her patience and love of teaching were the hallmarks of her life. She is fondly remembered by her grandchildren for piano lessons and her support of their education and musical talents. She is survived by daughters Kathy (Ken) Berry, Rebecca (Kevin) Dunn, and son Wesley Price. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kathryn Dunn, Alexander Dunn, Nathan (Remi) Shores, and Joanna (Kyle) Davis. Preceding her in death were husband Wes Price, brothers G.C. Morlan and John Morlan, sisters Barbara Jeanne Gray and Alice Alene Floyd, and her parents. A celebration of Alma Faye's life will be held at Edgefield Church of Christ located at 420 N Edgefield Ave in Dallas, TX 75208 at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 22, 2019. An interment service will follow at 2:00 PM at the DFW National Cemetery with processional leaving from Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 W Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211 at 1:45 PM. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the memorial fund at Edgefield Church of Christ at the address above.
