BRITTAIN, Ann Stribling Memorial Services for Ann Stribling Brittain, 95, will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:00 at White Rock United Methodist Church 1450 Old Gate Lane Dallas, TX 75218. Ann went to Heaven peacefully in her sleep at her home on December 20, 2019. She was born August 18, 1924 in Jacksonville, TX and grew up in the little East Texas town of Alto which she dearly loved. She married the little boy across the street and the love of her life, Ben Brittain, of Alto who had just been released as a WWII POW after 18 months. She graduated from SMU in 1945 and was a member of her Chi Omega Sorority which she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Edith Stribling of Alto, TX and husband Benjamin (Ben) Barton Brittain. She is survived by her daughter, Georgeann Brittain Crawford and husband Alan; sister Sara Stribling Hicks and husband Jimmy Hicks of Tyler, TX; grandsons Christopher Alan Crawford and wife Deirdre and Barton "Colin" Crawford and wife Laura. She is also survived by her niece Gina Hicks Pettigrew and husband Louis and nephew Bobby Hicks and wife Pam; her niece Connie McAuliffe and nephew Don McDaniel and wife Sherrie; her great grandsons Jack Crawford, Gus Crawford and Hudson Crawford and great granddaughter Cameran Crawford.
