Italian-born computer specialist, 'joyful, generous,' of Millburn
Bartolomeo Pacifico passed away at home on Dec. 16, 2019.
Bart was born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy, on Feb. 18, 1950.
He immigrated to Canada as a child before moving to Millburn, N.J. He wrestled successfully at Millburn High in the 1960s before specializing in mainframe computers for the next 49 years. He loved retirement, fishing, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was a joyful, generous, and jolly grandfather. He will be remembered for his gentle wit, love for his family, and commitment to do the right thing.
He is survived by two sons, two daughters-in-law, two granddaughters (and one on the way), and his younger brother and sister, a niece, four nephews, their spouses and children.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at 1 p.m., at the Bauer Community Center in Taylor Park, 100 Main St., Short Hills, N.J. All are welcome.
