Angelo Fiorino passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, N.J.
He was born in Jersey City, N.J., and resided in Jersey City, Linden, N.J., and Edison, N.J., before moving to Marlboro, N.J., in 2009
He proudly served our country in the Army during World War II, where he was a recipient of the World War ll Victory Medal, American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Angelo was a mechanic for Federal Wine and Liquor in Kearny, N.J., for 55 years, retiring in 1993. Angelo was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Linden and Edison.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Theresa Fiorino; his son, Paul Fiorino; his sisters, Helen Fiorino and Elvira Nichilo, and his brothers, Fr. Joseph, John and Arthur. Surviving are his children, Anthony Fiorino and his wife, Carrol, and Angela Laucik and her husband, Michael; his grandchildren, Anthony, Carrolyn, Jenniffer, Jillian, Matthew, Jamie, Aaron, and Jared; 16 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Carmine Fiorino and his wife, Anneliese.
A Visitation is on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services are on Friday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St Helena Church, Edison. Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
