Dolores M. Gumbars
Cherished mother; longtime Bloomfield resident
Dolores M. Gumbars, 87, of Clifton, N.J., entered into eternal life on Dec. 23, 2019, at St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Cedar Grove, N.J.
Born Dec. 23, 1932, in Newark, N.J., to the late William & Rose Telesco, she lived most of her life in Bloomfield before moving to Clifton in 2001. She graduated from Westside High School Newark in 1950, and she was last employed as a secretary with the Prudential Company, retiring many years ago.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter J. "Sonny" Gumbars and siblings, Mary Lissenden and Joseph Telesco. She was the cherished mother of William Gumbars and his wife, Tamara and John Gumbars.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Levandoski-Grillo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 44 Bay Ave., Bloomfield, N.J.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Monday at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
