Angelina Farand, 79, of Matawan, N.J., passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2019 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel.
She was born Angelina DiMaio in Newark, N.J., on July 23, 1940. She resided in Verona, N.J., and Belleville, N.J., before settling in Matawan in 1967, where she and her husband raised their family.
Angelina was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Madeline (Cordasco) DiMaio, and her sister, Marlene Baez.
Angelina is survived by her beloved husband, Maurice Farand; her loving children, Joseph Farand of Matawan and Maurine Caruso and her husband, Joseph, of Hillsborough, N.J. She is also survived by her sister, Madeline Rowan and her husband, Thomas; her brothers, Ralph DiMaio, Rocco DiMaio and Samuel DiMaio, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Jenna Caruso and Kristen Caruso. Angelina also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Angelina will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning, Oct. 15, 2019 from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, N.J. 07730. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church, 109 Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, N.J.
