Anna Zakovic passed away on Dec. 1, 2019.
A visitation will held on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains, N.J. A service of remembrance will be celebrated at a later date.
Anna was born in Pennsylvania and has lived in Scotch Plains, N.J., since 1951.
She had dual-citizenship in the United States and Czechoslovakia. She made several visits there to see relatives.
Ann was very active at Community Presbyterian Church, Mountainside, N.J., serving as a Deacon and an Elder.
She worked for many years at Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals.
Ann cared for her paraplegic husband for five years until his death in 1972.
She was a member of the Scotch Plains Seniors Club, and the Sew & Tell Group.
Ann is survived by her son, Gary, and his wife, Susan in Fanwood, N.J.; daughter, Carol Gillespie in North Carolina; grandchildren, Cathleen Zorsky, Jennifer Zakovic, Evan Zakovic.
