Carl Ben Molander

The gates of heaven were opened to Carl Ben Molander on November 12, 2019, leaving his loving wife (Elda) Belle, of 44 years.

The beloved son of Grace Viola and Carl Bernhard Molander, Carl was born in Everett, Washington on August 27, 1925. The family moved to Magnolia in Seattle when he was three and he became a lifelong resident of Magnolia, attending Queen Anne High School, enlisting in the Navy and serving in the South Pacific on an LCI during World War II, and building a house where he and his first wife, Betty (Pipes) Molander, raised their two daughters, Carlene and Marcia.

A locomotive engineer, he worked for Great Northern Railroad, later to become Burlington Northern, for 44 years. He built a second home where he spent the rest of his life with his dear wife, Belle. Together, he and Belle enjoyed a life well lived of boating, RVing, traveling and dividing their time between Seattle and Yuma, Arizona as winter visitors. Carl's great passion was big game hunting and spent years living his dream hunting around the globe.

Hard working and fortunate in realizing his dreams and life goals, he will be dearly missed by his devoted and loving wife, Belle; daughters, Carlene Easterwood and Marica; his two granddaughters; grandson; and great grandson.

"Life is a blessing. To die fulfilled, an even greater one."

Funeral Service Sat. Nov. 23rd, 1pm at Washelli Funeral Home.

Special thanks to the Providence Hospice team.
