Lifelong Summit resident devoted to her family
Anna E. West, 63, a lifelong resident of Summit, N.J., passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at her home with her loving family at her side.
Anna was born on Oct. 23, 1956, in Summit, N.J. She was the daughter of Anna (nee Bianco) and John McGowan. She was employed at Overlook Medical Center until her retirement three years ago.
Anna was devoted to her family and delighted in sharing music and movies, vacationing with them, and hosting holidays in her home. She was an avid bowler and more recently had begun to play golf.
Anna is survived by her beloved husband, Scott and loving daughter, Jenna (Kevin Carolan). She was the dear sister of Cathy Granata and Thomas McGowan (Lucy). She is also survived by niece, Tracy Granata; sisters-in-law, Chris West and Christian Carroll and her adored dog, Louie. Anna was predeceased by her beloved son, Ryan Scott West in 2004, and her parents.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, Nov 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Nov 14 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Morris Ave., Summit, N.J. Interment will be private. Please visit ippolitofuneralhomes.com for additional information and to send condolences.
