Loving husband, father, uncle and nephew
Anthony S. Keller, 61 of Nutley, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at his home.
Born in South Amboy, N.J., Anthony was the son of Anthony F. and the late Lois (Wilson) Keller and lived in Perth Amboy, N.J., and Sayreville, N.J., prior to moving to Nutley 15 years ago.
He most recently was employed at Fairway Market in the maintenance department in Woodland Park, N.J., and also worked for various ShopRite Supermarkets throughout the area as well as Blonder Tongue Labs and Schott Leather Co.
Music was his life no matter what Anthony was involved in, there would always be music playing. He was a roadie in his younger years for several bands and even opened with The Ramones when they performed at Rutgers University. Aside from being an absolute Halloween fanatic, he was also an avid fisherman and crabber, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Parlin, N.J.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne (Stuckas) Keller; his children, Julianna R. and Ian A. Keller; his sisters, Sharon Keller and Alice Sarosky; his nephew, Maxwell Sarosky; and several of his dear aunts and numerous loving cousins.
The funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley, at 10 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Valentine's Church in Bloomfield, N.J., at 11 a.m. The cremation services will be held privately. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Valentine's Church Maintenance Fund, 125 North Spring Street, Bloomfield, N.J. 07003 would be preferred.
