Arnold "pete" Petersen
Faleceu
Arnold 'Pete' Leon Petersen
1948 ~ 2019
Centerville, UT-Pete passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at his childhood home in Centerville. Pete was the son of Alma Wilford Petersen and Rachel LaRetta Hill. Pete was born and raised in Centerville, UT where he graduated from Viewmont Highschool class of 1966. Pete was a Purple Heart Veteran and served in the 101st Airborne Division during Vietnam. Pete returned to his childhood home after his 2nd marriage. He loved the small town feel and friends he had there. He retired from Hill Air Force Base as a master welder. Pete loved a good road trip and took many travels. He loved fireworks and would travel all over to find the best ones from Seattle to Lake Havaseau. He would wait for hours in the hot sun to get a good spot. He loved being on the golf course and made many friends on the green. He volunteered his time and talents for many years making golf clubs for different charitable events. He had a No BS approach to life. To take what came and 'weld' it into something that would work. Even though he had a gruff exterior he was the kindest and most loyal friend. He had a profound belief in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and prayed every day to help him find someone he could help. He loved finding lost treasures and returning them to their owners. He cared for everyone he met. He had a great memory and could remember all your favorite things. He put all his heart into picking out gifts and left no one out. If he thought something reminded him of you, he would buy it for you. We could write a book about his generosity and kindness. Pete always looked for a good deal. He had many 'things' but his most valuable treasure was his daughter and 3 grandchildren. He loved and supported them in every aspect of life. He never missed a game, performance, or recital. If something mattered to them, it mattered to Pa Pete. Pete leaves behind his daughter Kari Montoya, Son-in-Law Dustin Montoya, 3 grandchildren Zakary, Kody, & KayDee. Brother Lenard Petersen, & many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Carl, and sister Pauline.
