PELOSOF, Anne G. Anne G. Pelosof, 74, died March 2, 2019 at her home in Las Cruces, New Mexico after a brief battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Thursday March 7 at Temple Beth-El in Las Cruces. Anne was born in Salisbury, Rhodesia on March 20, 1944 to parents Sir Michael and Esther Gelfand. She and her two sisters split their time between Salisbury and their boarding school, Queensgate, in London, England. Anne was a popular and intelligent student and a vivacious beauty. As a young lady on holiday in New York, she met her husband-to-be, a dashing French doctor named Henri Pelosof. They settled in Dallas, Texas but continued to enjoy travelling the world together. During her time in Dallas, Anne graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas. She then spent nearly 40 years as a trusted and well-known CPA in the Dallas area. After the death of Henri, Anne retired to Las Cruces, where she enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and international travel to such far-flung places as Beijing and Machu Picchu. Anne is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Pelosof and Serena Smulansky, her grandsons, Leo and Milo, and Bubby, her Chihuahua-mix.
