MOON, Charles "Charlie" Edward Charles "Charlie" Edward Moon, age 71, passed away on March 15th, 2019. Charlie was born and raised in North Texas. Charlie was voted class favorite 3 years in a row while he was in school and carried that legacy his entire life. He never knew a stranger and would be the first to crack a joke from putting a car on the roof of his high school or telling his grandkids to pull his finger; Charlie would find a way in any situation to lighten your heart. He was always available to make you laugh or give some of his very own personal words of wisdom. We are not sure what title Charlie loved most between Husband to Dad to PePa. He loved his wife fiercely to infinity and beyond. And was just as passionate and steadfast in his love for his kids. His grandkids were the pep in his step and a new generation of kids to pull his finger, flick their noses when there was "something on their shirt", and offer a big bowl of dirt and worms for any meal. His circle of friends knew no boundary, from the dearest closest friends he had to the cashier at Academy, he cared for people in a way that cannot be described truly to know him was to love him. He was the life of the party and always up for a good time. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and fire pit green bean rocket man! He is survived by his wife Anne Moon of 23 years, daughters Fauna Moon, Brittnay Foerster and husband Kenny, Alexandria El-Kurd and husband Sammie; son Dustin Moon and bonus son Erik Scholz. Grandchildren MaKenzie Moon, Kalia Crocker, Kennedy Foerster, Tavia Crocker, Laith El-Kurd, and Amelia El-Kurd. He is also survived by his sister Debbie and husband Jimmy Holland, his former wife Lisa and husband Paul Scholz. His nephews Adam and Chris Hartman and their families. He was proceeded in death by his mother Joan Moon, father Talley Moon, and sister Sharon Hartman. We will leave you with one of his favorite sayings: "You can pick your nose, and you can pick your friends, but you can't wipe your friends under the couch" Charlie Moon Services to be held at 2 pm on March 23, 2019 at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation at 602 N. Old Orchard Lane, Lewisville, TX. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Church of the Annunciation's Legacy Fund, Austin Street Shelter (austinstreet.org) or Hunters for the Hungry ([email protected])
