LATHROP, Angela Marie Angela Marie Lathrop went home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Angela was born on April 1, 1932 in New Holstein, Wisconsin to William and Gertrude Gross. Angela and her brother and 3 sisters were raised in New Holstein where she graduated from High School. Angela then moved to Milwaukee to attend Prospect Hall Secretary School and worked 7 years for Mobil Oil Company. During this time Angela met the love of her life John Lathrop ("Jack") from Milwaukee, WI. Angela and Jack were married on August 11, 1956. Angela and Jack were blessed to have raised 3 daughters Diane, Sharon and Carol. Home was primarily Milwaukee but Jack's career moved the family to San Antonio, Alexandria, VA., St. Louis and finally Dallas. No matter where they lived Angela made new friends and made their home warm and welcoming. Angela stayed active with tennis, walking and hiking. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain. Angela and Jack enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Angela will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend who was kind, thoughtful and gracious. Angela is survived by daughters Diane her husband Jim, Sharon her husband Roger, Carol her husband Rob, grandchildren Ryan and Kellen, great grandchildren Clayton and Miles. Angela's husband Jack of 61 years went home to heaven on November 24, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 3:00.
