JOLLY, Barbara Ann Poole Barbara Ann Poole Jolly passed away on June 19, 2019 in Dallas, Texas at age 84. She was born in Bradley, Arkansas to Lloyd and Nevy Poole. Barbara was a graduate of Plain Dealing High School and Louisiana Tech University and taught elementary and high school students in Bossier City, LA, Memphis, TN, Atlanta, GA, St. Tammany Parish, LA, and Plano, TX. Barbara was a faithful servant of Jesus starting with the United Methodist Women of Shreveport, LA, continuing with Sunday school classes and volunteer work at each location where her family lived as they moved throughout the years, and finally concluding with United Methodist Women and Pathfinders at First United Methodist Church Richardson. Barbara was kind and gracious and she loved her children and grandchildren with every fiber of her being. She supported her children's dreams and would do anything for them which she proved over and over again through her generosity. Barbara shared her compassionate spirit as a teacher and a volunteer serving people in need including Mountain T.O.P., Stephen Ministry, Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Ark House, and other ministries. She lived an exemplary life and her family surrounded her with joy, warmth, and peace in her final days. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years John W. Jolly; 4 children and their spouses Scott Jolly (Karlene) of Dallas, Russ Jolly (Deborah) of Richardson, Sharla Jolly (Rocky Franklin) of Dallas, and Jim Jolly (Bridgett) of Tupelo, MS; 10 grandchildren Zachary, Matthew, Sarah, Ramey, Jenni, Ariel, Jewel, Jenna, James, and Jesse; 1 great-grandchild Bradley; a brother, Jim Poole of Lafayette, LA; and her beloved dog, Jellybean. The family wishes to thank Barbara's Nurse Next Door caregivers especially Robert, Heather, and Dominique, and the staff at Faith Presbyterian Hospice. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas 6pm-8pm on Sunday June 23 and a Celebration of Life service will be held at First United Methodist Church Richardson at 2pm on Monday June 24.
