HABEL, Andrew Andrew Habel laid down his sword and began his next adventure on February 6, 2019, in Surprise, AZ, after many years of health issues. Born on May 10, 1946 in Queens, New York, he was a Mother's Day gift for his mom, Mildred, and dad, Philip. For the journey home to the Bronx, his mom placed him in his sister Ellen's arms, beginning a close relationship that lasted until his death. Andrew married Roni in 1968 and they had two beautiful children. In 1976, Andrew moved his young family to Richardson, Texas. Rayna and Erik grew to be loving, caring, and successful. His pride in them was evident every day. In 1986 he married Judy, the love of his life. While they had no children together, Judy considers them the children of her heart. Andrew leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Judy; children, Rayna, Erik and his wife, Malia; sister, Ellen; brother-in-law, Greg; grandchildren Zachary, Ashley, Hudson, and Jolie; and countless loving friends. He will be greatly missed. Please join us for a celebration of Andrew's life on Sunday, March 31st, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Chase Oaks, 7201 Chase Oaks Boulevard in Plano, Texas.
