BARNES, Brenda Brenda Carol Barnes, age 65, went to be with the Lord on May 17th 2019. She was born November 7, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Dewey and Faye Van. She eloped and married her best friend and love, Richard Wayne Barnes, in July of 1975. Brenda loved to serve other people. Whether it was through cooking, giving great gifts, or just giving her time, she loved making other people happy. For 30 years Brenda worked for the Federal Government. She was an excellent employee, loved and respected by all. Brenda is survived by her husband Richard, her parents Dewey and Faye Van, her sister and brother in law Linda and Vic Powell, her mother in law Mary Lou Smith, her brother in law Charles Barnes, her daughter and son in law Angi and Kip Young, her son and daughter in law Adam and Courtney Barnes plus 5 sweet grandchildren. Visitation for Ms. Brenda Carol Barnes will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
