ALLEN, Ann (BOBBITT) Ann (Bobbitt) Allen, age 82, of Rockwall, TX, passed from this life on earth into her Heavenly Father's arms on July 11, 2019. She was born May 16, 1937, in South Hill, VA, to Henry Coleman Bobbitt and Luna (Wilson) Bobbitt. Ann was a beautiful person inside and out. Her faith in Jesus Christ meant everything to her and she boldly shared Him with everyone she met. She was a gracious hostess who loved to entertain and welcome family and friends into her home. In her free time she enjoyed travel, mission trips (well into her 70's), decorating, and thought that the Carolina beaches were just about as close to Heaven as one could get. Ann loved all sports - closely following the Mavericks, Duke and The University of North Carolina basketball (her and her husband's Alma Maters), but she especially loved baseball, and over the years attended many Rangers games with family and friends. Ann was very active within the community; serving on the board of the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast for many years and attended both Lakeshore and Lake Pointe churches. She served as a mentor to many women. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Ann is survived by her daughters: Maki Willard and husband Dan, Amy Stouffer and husband Mitch; son: Chip Allen; and grandchildren: James Denning III, Meredith Luke, Aubrey Denning, Fletcher Denning, Caroline Denning, Payton McDill, Bailey Snavely, Conrad Allen, Jackson Stouffer, and Alex Stouffer. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Allen; sister: Patsy Crowder; brother-in-law: Johnny Crowder; and her parents. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location with Pastor Tom Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
