Longtime program coordinator at Rutgers-Newark
Cheryl Wagner, 71, died Aug. 8, 2019.
Born in Pittston, Pa., she lived in North Arlington, N.J., before moving to the Arbor Glen Center in Cedar Grove, N.J., 10 years ago.
She worked as a program coordinator for Rutgers University, Newark for over 25 years before retiring in 2000.
She was the cherished daughter of the late John and Irene (Hetro) Wagner, loving sister of Cyril Wagner, John Wagner, and the late Carol Rice, dear sister-in-law of Kathleen Wagner, Daniel Rice and the late Joyce Harris, the adored aunt of Michelle Wagner, John Wagner and his wife, Andrea; Michael Wagner, Jessica Nish and her husband, James, Andrew Wagner, and the great-aunt of Kileigh.
The funeral from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington is on Monday, Aug. 12 at 9 a.m., thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
