Longtime Rahway resident, Korean War veteran
Arcangelo "Archie" Truppa, 89, of Barnegat, N.J., passed on April 16, 2019.
Formerly of Rahway, N.J., where he lived for 70 years, Archie was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Amoco.
Predeceased by his wife, Mildred (LaGuardia) of 50 years, he is survived by two daughters, Diane Mohel and Kevin McLaughlin, and Lisa Swinicki and husband, Darrell; grandchildren, Kayla Swinicki and fiancé, Maurice Badway and Drew Swinicki and fiancée Ivana Chiriboga; brothers, Louis (Richie) and Eugene (Gene); sisters, Ann Cunicella and Loretta Syko, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Gloria DePaolo.
Viewing is Monday, April 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Barnegat Funeral Home (BarnegatFH.com), 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Mass will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin, N.J.
