Anthony J. Trezza III (Tony) passed away on June 19, 2019, in Fredericksburg, Va. Tony was a native of Orange, N.J., born on Nov. 29, 1942, to Anthony Trezza Jr. and Carmela Grande Trezza.
He graduated Orange High School in 1960, and attended junior college in Napa, Calif. Tony completed his B.S. in business administration in 1967, at Sacramento State University. He served two years with Vista counselling inner city children at the Pacoima Boys Club. Tony taught them how to hone their basketball skills and manage their lives with respect and integrity.
He pursued a career with Scott Paper and transitioned into the dye and chemical industry. He worked successfully for decades in that industry selling dyes and chemicals to the paper industry for Sandoz, Bayer, Rite Industries and Royce Associates.
Tony dedicated his time to family and pursued lifelong enjoyment in his hobbies: drumming, horse racing, investing and golf. He had many friends from childhood, work and leisure, and retained close relationships until his last days.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia Trezza and his parents. Tony leaves his daughter, Kate Trezza; a brother, William; sister, Catherine Acquadro; Jane Brill Trezza (former wife), and companion, Ann Strother. He had many cousins, including Anthony C. Trezza (Diggity) who was like a brother, and five nephews and nieces who adored him.
There will be a Memorial Mass and celebration of life on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. The service will be St. Philomena's R.C. Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, N.J.
