Anastasios "Ernie" Spartos, of Blairstown, N.J., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at the age of 85.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., to Anthony and Alexandria Spartos, Ernie was a restaurateur, New York Times mailer, and mensch.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Lois; two daughters, Christine and Carla; and sister, Irene. Ernie was also preceded in death by his brother, Mario.
Visitation is at Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8. Mass is at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Randolph, N.J., at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 9.
