Aderito A. "Rick" Santos, 76, of Elizabeth, N.J., and Florida, died on Sunday at his home in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Monday, March 4, from the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth, at 8:15 a.m. Funeral Mass is at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Elizabeth at 9 a.m. Entombment is in Rosedale Cemetery. Visiting is on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Aderito was born in Cabril, Portugal and came to this country in 1960, moving to both Elizabeth and Florida many years ago.
He was the owner and operator of Santos Service Center, Union, N.J., before retiring several years ago. After retiring he was a mechanic for Preferred Auto Sales/Pre-Owned Super Store, Elizabeth. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Elizabeth.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Manuela Santos; two sons, Paul Anthony Santos and his wife, Clara, of Warren, N.J., George E. Santos and his wife, Kelly, of Gillette, N.J.; one brother, Carlos E. Santos and his wife, Mandy, of Westfield, N.J.; one sister, Conceicao Palha and her husband, Jose, of Portugal; two granddaughters, Emma Claire Santos and Olivia Santos.
