Mother of six, 'her generosity, thoughtfulness knew no bounds'
Carol Roth of Clinton, N.J., passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 after a short but aggressive bout of cancer. She was 82 years old.
Carol LaMeire was born and raised in Livingston, N.J. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson Univ. and briefly taught elementary school, before marrying the love of her life, Don Roth. She met Don working as a car hop at his restaurant, Don's Drive In, in Livingston, N.J. They were married for 50 years, until Don's passing in 2009. She was the ultimate taste tester and recipe fixer for everything at the restaurant.
Carol was a devoted wife, and amazing mother to their six children. She was an accomplished cook, gardener, decorator, party hostess, and in her later years a movie aficionado and avid joke teller. There was nothing more important to Carol than her children and grandchildren, and her generosity and thoughtfulness knew no bounds.
Carol is survived by her six children, S. Robert Roth and wife Roberta, Alyssa (Nollman) and husband Bill, Carolyn (Puleo) and husband Joe, Jaclyn Roth, Jon Roth, Bobbi Roth and wife Chris DelliPaoli, and her eight grandchildren.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Carol's favorite charity, The Humane Society.
