Anne M. Passafaro (Ricciardi), 90, of Cedar Grove, N.J., died on June 22, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, 07009. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Cedar Grove, with committal services to follow at Rosedale Crematory Chapel, Montclair, N.J. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 3 through 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.
Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Anne settled in Cedar Grove in 1980, in the house that Sal built. Prior to her retirement, she was a budget analyst for Schering Plough in Kenilworth. Anne was a member of the Mother's Guild at Our Lady of Good Counsel and East Orange Catholic High School. As a longtime member and volunteer of the Cedar Grove Senior Citizens' Club, she lovingly served her friends and neighbors. Above all, she was a homemaker for her cherished family, caring for her parents for many years. She was an excellent cook, mastering the art of eggplant parmigiana.
She was the daughter "extraordinaire" to the late Michele and Vincenza Ricciardi. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore J. Passafaro, and her brothers, Frank, David, Carmine, Tony, and Michele.
Surviving are her beloved children, James Passafaro and his wife, Karen, Dianne Carmody and her husband, Ed, and Gregory Passafaro and his wife, Mary Jo; cherished grandsons, Matthew and his wife, Kirra, David, Jack, and Vinny; beautiful great-granddaughter, Savine Carmody, and one special blessing on the way, and her loving canine companion, Lady.
