Barbara 'Bobbie' Moretti
Her bright spirit will truly be missed
Barbara "Bobbie" Moretti, 79, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, N.J., passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J., after a battle with cancer.
Bobbie grew up in East Orange, N.J., and later raised her family in Newark, N.J., before moving to Oakhurst in 1995. She was an active member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Maplewood, N.J., where she served on the Parish Council and volunteered extensively for both the parish and the school. Barbara worked for NJ Bell, retiring from Lucent Technologies in 1997.
Bobbie was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Moretti; parents, Mina Harrison Bruno and Michael Bruno; brother, Michael Bruno and sister, Jean Bruno. Surviving are her four children, Christopher and his wife, Mary; Michael and his wife, Ani; Veronica and her husband, Patrick Reardon, and Alan and his wife, Katherine; sister-in-law, Sylvia Barrasso; dear cousin, Jane Senior; nine grandchildren, Erin, Michael, Anthony, Samantha, Nicole, Christopher, Natalie, Connor, and Quinn and four great-grandchildren, Brinley, Jayden, Ainsley, and Juliette.
A testament to Bobbie's life is the abundant amount of friends she made and kept throughout the years. Bobbie enjoyed playing cards with "The Girls" and the thought of Atlantic City always brought a smile to her face. Bobbie always said her greatest sense of pride were her four children and that she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her optimistic and bright spirit will truly be missed, but we can take solace in knowing she is reunited with her true love, Al.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019, at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst.
