Betty Ann Lott
Lived in Martinsville and shared adventure sports with her family
Betty Ann (Apgar) Lott, 82, died on April 29, 2019, at home in Pocono Pines, Pa. She was the loving wife of William Griffiths Lott, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. They lived in Martinsville, N.J., for 50 years prior to moving to the Poconos.
She was a daughter of the late Jonathan Woodruff Apgar II and Dorothy Louise (Welsh) Apgar of Cranford, N.J.
Betty Ann earned her degree from Lasell College in Auburndale, Mass. Betty Ann was a member of the Somerset New Jersey chapter of Mothers of Multiples.
She had a love for the great outdoors and enjoyed many adventures with her family such as backpacking, hiking and camping. She learned how to scuba dive and enjoyed diving in the Pacific, Caribbean and Central American seas. When not taking her family on adventures, Betty Ann enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Jeffrey William Lott and wife, Ellen of Blakeslee, Pa.; Christopher Welsh Lott of Tucson, Ariz., and Douglas Griffiths Lott of Branchburg, N.J.; brother, Jonathan Woodruff Apgar III and wife, JoEllen of Holland, Ohio; sister, Joan (Apgar) Bruning and husband, Edwin of Naples, Fla., and grandson, Griffiths William Lott, who attends Drexel University in Philadelphia.
There will be no services at this time. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory, Cresco, Pa.
