Catherine L'Insalata, 84, of North Bergen, N.J., passed away April 30, 2019, surrounded by family.
Born June 23, 1934 in Bronx, N.Y., Catherine graduated from St. John's Villa and earned her MSW from Iona College.
She was a Sister of St. John the Baptist for 25 years. She devoted 39 years to Catholic Charities of Newark, N.J., as a division director and board member.
She was predeceased by her parents, Vito and Caterina L'Insalata, and George Anderson. She leaves her brother, Nicolas and his wife, Noleen, their children, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Catherine will be reposing at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Rt. 35, Middletown, N.J., on May 5, from 2 to 6 p.m. followed by a Mass on May 6 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Catharine's Church, 108 Middletown Rd., Holmdel, N.J. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Catholic Charities.
