Andrea M. Kundla, 60, of Morristown, N.J., passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, N.J. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J.
Born in Newark, N.J., to John and Mary Kundla, Andrea attended special education classes at the Hazel Avenue Elementary School and the Redwood Elementary School, from which she graduated with a high school diploma.
She was an active participant in Camp Hope, a summer day camp conducted by the ARC of NJ, as well as the West Orange Mayor's Program For Individuals With Disabilities where she loved to dance, do arts & crafts, and was an accomplished bowler. Andrea also participated in the Special Olympics, where she won medals as a swimmer. She worked for many years at the Occupational Center of Essex County, a sheltered workshop in Orange, N.J.
Andrea was the loving sister of Jeffrey Kundla, Mark Kundla and his wife, Laurie, and Gregory Kundla and his wife, Karen; and a cherished aunt of Jennifer Dow and her husband, William, Jeffrey Kundla, Jr. and his significant other, Kaleigh, Jacquelyn Dyer and her husband, Nicholas, Matthew Kundla, and Jessica Kundla.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrea's name to The Arc of New Jersey, 985 Livingston Ave., North Brunswick, N.J. 08902 or to Special Olympics New Jersey, 1 Eunice Kennedy Shriver Way, Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648, would be greatly appreciated.
