Chester wife, mother, and grandmother, dedicated art teacher
Augusta Lynn (Ratliff) Hove, 56, of Chester, N.J., passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center.
Lynn was born on July 9, 1962 in Ypsilanti, Mich., to the late Dale and Betty Ratliff. She grew up in Mountain Lakes, N.J., alongside her three brothers, Mitch, Mark, and Matt. There, she met and married her high school sweetheart, Bill Hove, Jr. and moved to Vasa Park, N.J., before settling in Chester about 18 years ago.
Lynn was a talented artist who lived a lifelong dream of becoming an art teacher, touching the lives of countless children. She was Mrs. Hove, the Art Teacher at the Wilson School in Mountain Lakes, N.J., for almost 20 years. In addition to her being a people person, Lynn enjoyed music, gardening, traveling, spending time with, and always talking about her family, friends, and of course, her pets.
Lynn is survived by her beloved husband, William A. Hove, Jr.; devoted daughter, Sharyn Scarafile (Sharyn's MomAunt) and her husband Jonathan; cherished grandson, Karter; five nieces and nephews, plus grand nieces/ nephews; brother Mark Ratliff, sisters-in-law Irene Ratliff and Robin Ratliff; and by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, William Mitchell Ratliff, and Matthew Ratliff.
Lynn's life celebration will be on July 14, 2019 at the Chester Field House, 107 Seminary Ave, Chester, N.J. 07930 from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
