Dorothy Nell Harper, 76, of East Bruswick, N.J., made her transition on June 17, 2019.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Greater Abyssinian Baptist Church, 88 Lyons Ave., Newark, N.J. Interment will be at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, N.J. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church, and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born in Colquitt, Ga. She was the beloved wife of Clent Gene Harper; devoted mother of Victoria Harper and Clent Gene Harper Jr. (Karen); dear daughter of the late JB and Callie Mae Battles; loving sister of Aretha Jones Hicks, and the late Lester Jackson; cherished grandmother of Maurice, Inisha and Dashon, and also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
