Angelo A. Giangerelli, 78, lifelong Belleville, N.J., resident, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, surrounded by his family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, at St. Peter's Church, 155 William St., Belleville, cremation will be private. Viewing hours are Wednesday, June 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair, N.J.
Angelo worked for Admiral Corp in East Ruthererford, N.J., then NJ Developmental Center in Totowa, N.J., as a maintenance supervisor before retiring. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Belleville Council #835. He was an avid hunter, and loved spending time at his family farm in Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his siblings, George Giangerelli, Anita Petretta and her husband, Anthony, Michael Giangerelli and his companion, Jacqueline Petretta; by his niece and nephews, Janine, Michael and Anthony, and by his loving grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Anita (nee Bolcato) Giangerelli, by his sister- in-law Patricia, and by his companion, Ruth McGrievy.
