It is with great sadness that the family of Anna B. Durner announces her passing, peacefully, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the age of 101, in Laurel, Md.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., on Oct. 8, 1917, to Elias and Ann Murin, Anna had resided in Linden, N.J., for 65 years. For the past six years, she lived in Laurel, Md., in the care of her daughter, Maryann Shaw.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 75 years, Anthony (Tony), and son, Robert. She is survived by her children, Anton, Stephen, Maryann and Michael. She was the cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Linden, N.J., at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J.
Anna was a longtime member of the Rosary Society of St. John the Apostle Church, the Linden Men's and Women's Seniors Club and the Winfield Senior Citizens, with which she and Tony enjoyed many bus trips.
We will all miss her unwavering love and devotion, as well as the kindness she spread wherever she went. We will also miss her chocolate chip cookies and lemon meringue pies.
