Bruce Brandt of West Orange, N.J., age 77, passed peacefully on May 2, 2019, at St Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J.
A graveside service is scheduled for Sunday, May 5, at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 685 Fairview Ave., Fairview, N.J. 07022. Arrangements are being handled by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 908-964-1500.
Bruce was born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., and Bayonne, N.J., and resided at the Brookdale Assisted Living, West Orange, N.J., for the last few years. He was the dear son of the late Joseph and Ruth(nee Bisgier).
Bruce worked in the New Jersey Room of the Jersey City Public Library in Jersey City.
Bruce was a loving son, brother, and uncle, and is survived by his sister, Sheila Glassner; his brother, Charles Brandt, and his sister-in-law, Hedy; his nieces and nephews, Wendy Glassner, Amy Brandt, Warren Kovitz, Craig (Julie) Glassner; and great-niece and nephews, Mitchell Glassner, Cole Glassner and Alexa Glassner. Bruce was also a dear friend to many.
