Arlene Louise Lydia Fantone

Faleceu

October 11, 1931 - June 29, 2019 Arlene Louise Lydia Fantone, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on June 29, 2019. She was born to Lydia and Herbert Matter, October 11, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The youngest of six siblings, she spent her formative years in Wisconsin. Arlene moved west to Los Angeles, California in 1955, where she would spend the rest of her life. She met her future husband, Tony Fantone, in Westwood Village, and they married in 1957. They were married for nearly 50 years until his passing in 2007. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who was heavily involved in the lives of her two sons growing up. As a mom, she was caring, nurturing, understanding, and fiercely loyal. She was the definition of a great mother. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, she found her true career calling as a travel agent, and thus began a lifelong love affair with traveling and exploring different places. She loved to share those experiences with her friends and family and always had amazing stories to tell. She also loved to entertain and was an amazing cook who had no small part in lighting a fire to enjoy food and cooking in the person writing this! There are many countless memories of sitting in the kitchen watching her and learning. She had many hobbies, was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, and also enjoyed fine art, classical music and antiquities of which she collected many through the years. She also had a wonderful way of keeping a youthful outlook that will be missed - she was a child at heart. She has now started a new journey and is surely looking for more places to travel in the heavens. Arlene is survived by two sons, Marco Fantone and Fabio Fantone; one grandson, Sandro Fantone; nieces, Jane, Jill, Judy; and nephews, Ed, Ron, John, Andy, Jeff, and James. She will be interred at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery in Brookfield, Wisconsin along with a private graveside ceremony in October.
