AUFSES--Arthur H. Jr., M.D., aged 93, died peacefully at home on April 15. His was a life well-lived; he touched countless people as a skilled and caring physician, a community leader, an avid fisherman, a cherished friend and a devoted family man. Dr. Aufses is survived by his beloved wife of more than 71 years, Harriet; their son, Arthur H. Aufses III and his wife Robin; daughter, Carolyn Aufses Blashek and her husband Rob; four grandchildren: Jenna Blashek Guja and her husband Eric, Jordan Blashek, Kate Aufses Oldfield and her husband Justin, Michael Aufses; and a great- grandchild, Justin Guja. A memorial service will be held at the Mount Sinai Hospital at a later date.
