Anne Bertalotto

June, 1950 ~ December, 2018

Anne Bertalotto was born in Santa Clara, CA on June 18, 1950 as Anne Shindler, second child of Robert and Dorothy Shindler. After her birth the family resided at several locations, eventually moving to Salem, OR. It was here that Anne attended Elementary and High School and was popular and active in school and the community, including being a cheerleader and May Queen. After entering the University of Washington, she spent a year in France studying art - her passion. During the next several years Anne produced many landscape and portrait pieces, many of which were sold. Anne's work was featured in at least one well attended showing during that time.

In December 1975 Anne gave birth to a daughter Christina in Seattle WA. Since her birth Christina has always been the light of Anne's life. From this time Anne worked as a private care giver and continued with her art on the side. As it happened care-giving would be Anne's primary calling from this point forward.

In 2002 Anne married James Bertalotto. They shared a life together for several years, until the circumstances of their health led them to live in different places. In June 2018, Anne moved into Overlake Terrace as an assisted living resident. She enjoyed many friendships and flourished in her new environment.

On December 28, 2018 Anne was hit by a van and died at the scene. Anne is survived by her daughter, her granddaughter Cecelia, her parents Robert and Dorothy, and by four brothers - Bob, Tom, John and Joe and four sisters - Margi, Therese, Kristen and Stephanie, and her husband James.

She is greatly missed by her Family and many Friends.
