Andrew Jennings Thompson
Faleceu
1982 ~ 2019
Andrew Jennings "AJ" Thompson was born on February 8, 1982 in Provo, Utah. He passed away from complications associated with blood clots in his lungs. He grew up in Orem, Utah, the fifth of seven sons (although he was the favorite). He attended Hillcrest Elementary, Lakeridge Jr. High, and graduated from Orem High School in 2000 where he was Vice-President of his senior class. He attended Brigham Young University, and served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Italy Padova/Milan Mission from 2001-2003.
Our beloved AJ was the consummate peacemaker in his family, and was known by everyone for his kind and calm disposition. His infectious smile, laugh, and witty sense of humor blessed all of our lives. In keeping with AJ's kindness we are all going to have to "up our game" when it comes to caring for one another in his absence.
AJ has spent the last seven years working with his Qualtrics family, where he loved helping clients, colleagues, and anyone else who would listen, learn about the great things you could do with the Qualtrics technology. AJ's family cannot adequately express their gratitude to those who made this experience such a joy in his life.
AJ is the proud and loving father of Maggie Elizabeth (9) and Hayden Jennings (7) Thompson. This past Christmas AJ took a joyful step in his life when he asked Andree "Rae" Mikulay to marry him, and she gladly accepted. They were to be married this summer.
AJ was preceded to the other side by both of his grandmothers, Laura Olsen and Donna Thompson. He is survived by Maggie, Hayden, and Rae; brothers Tyler (Heather), Scott (Jessica), David (Chalene), Benjamin (Melissa), Christopher and Matthew; 16 nieces and nephews; his parents, Sharleen and Duff Thompson; and grandfathers Robert Olsen and Robert Thompson.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home located at 646 East 800 North, Orem, UT. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Sharon Stake Center Building located at 545 South 800 East, Orem, UT. A brief viewing and family prayer will take place the hour prior to the services. Interment will occur at the East Lawn Cemetery at Provo, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please make a generous contribution to AJ's favorite charitable effort, "5 for the Fight" at 5forthefight.org. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.walkersanderson.com.
