Ann Duggan O'Rourke
1930-2018
Ann Duggan O'Rourke, a native Houstonian, passed away on December 30th, 2018 in San Antonio Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family the days before her death & at thetime of death. Ann was born in Houston on March 1,1930 to the late Mercedes Romero Duggan and Benjamin Hardy Duggan.
Ann attended St. Agnes Academy, Lamar High School, Sophie Newcombe College & graduated from the University of Houston. After college, she worked several years at Tennessee Oil & Gas Company. She was a dedicated & loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend…. & homemaker. Ann was a devout Catholic who truly lived her faith.
She was a member of Charity Guild of Catholic Women, The Neumann Circle & Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Ann attended St. Annes's Catholic Church much of her life and was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Ann was kind, generous, unselfish and loved by many. She will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burke O'Rourke. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Grilliette and husband Alan of San Antonio, grandchildren Burke & Michelle Grilliette. Her son, Joe O'Rourke & wife Wendy, grandchildren Enrique & Maya. Her sister, Sissy Pfeffer & husband Bubba, many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the rosary at 6:30 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, Texas 77079 with a reception to follow. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
