Faleceu
Carolyn Ann O'Neal
1950-2019
Carolyn Ann O'Neal was born on November 22, 1950, to Marian Caroline Sincavage and Clifford O'Neal in Blossburg, Pennsylvania.
After graduating from Lock Haven University in 1972, Carolyn began working for Piper Aircraft. She was involved in the exportation of aircrafts to Latin America. It was the beginning of her love of the international aspect of business.
Prompted by a move to Bellaire, Texas, Carolyn began working for Halliburton during the day, and attended the University of Houston in the evenings. She earned her Masters of Business Administration. Carolyn spent a number of years working for Riviana Foods as a market analyst, then went on to manage the shipping department of a medical waste company, but ultimately returned to the oil and gas industry. While working for Saipem America, Carolyn began her work in procurements. Eventually, the UK/Norwegian company, Subsea 7, made her an offer that she couldn't turn down. She handled charters and procurements in the Gulf of Mexico, and spent time in Mexico to teach other employees.
Upon her retirement, Carolyn spent her time volunteering at the Citizens for Animal Protection rescue organization and shelter.
On January 12, 2019, Carolyn passed away unexpectedly in Katy, Texas, at 68 years of age. She is dearly loved and missed.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Thomas Towns; brothers, John O'Neal and wife, Terri, Keith O'Neal; as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway location in Katy, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to CAPS, 17555 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77094.
