BOMAR, Betty Aschenbach Betty Aschenbach Bomar born June 28, 1924 in New Orleans, LA passed away peacefully Thursday January 10, 2019 in Arlington, TX at the age of 94. She graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans and attended the University of Dallas and SMU earning degrees in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Betty was the Department Chairman of Mathematics at Jesuit College Prep, Dallas, TX prior to her retirement from teaching at the age of 68. Betty was married to Leon Bomar, Jr. for 67 years prior to his passing 7 years ago. Betty loved her little dog and her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Betty is survived by Leon Bomar, III her son and his wife Barbara, Kathi Bomar, her daughter, along with two grandchildren Lindsay Bomar Roa and her husband Mario, Lauren Picard Bomar Patrick and her husband Shane and her great granddaughter Madison Grace Patrick. Betty's love of science and early career in the medical field caused her to want to continue the research in medicine, she has willed her body to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. A memorial service will be held on January 17th at 2:00PM at the Town Village Retirement Home at 1250 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013 her home the last two years of her life.
