Memorial service planned for June 8 in New Jersey
Barbara Jean Price, 87, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Jan. 4, 2019, at Westminster Woods on Julington Creek in Fruit Cove, Fla.
A native of East Orange, N.J., Barbara married Wilfred Charles Price on April 12, 1953, and together they raised three children.
Barbara worked as a secretary and insurance customer service representative for more than 25 years and continued as a church secretary part-time after her retirement.
She was a great cook for Thanksgiving feasts and summer BBQs, and was always quick with a smile, a song or a tune at the piano. Music made her smile up to her last days.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie. Survivors include a son, Stephen Charles of Middletown, Ohio; two daughters, Janice Lorraine Ross of Hanover, Md., and Lydia Jean of Shanghai, China; six grandchildren, Tracey Dunn, Corinne Dunn, Lydia Anne, Emma Elizabeth, Samuel Charles, and Keralyn RenYan; and two great-granddaughters, Cierra Ashley Ruggiero and Alexis Lorraine Dunn.
A memorial service for Mrs. Price will be held on June 8, at Restland Memorial Park at 1 p.m. in East Hanover, N.J.
