Korean War Army veteran, Hoffman-La Roche retiree
Alex Hall Jr., 81, of Cedar Grove, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019. Born in Galveston, Ky., he was the son of the late Dora (Atkins) and Alex Hall.
He retired as a chemical operator for Hoffman La Roche, Nutley, N.J. Alex was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Amvets Post No. 30 of Nutley, and Roche Retirees.
He is survived by his in-laws, Raymond Boxer, Janet Woodward, Robert Boxer, Gail Brown, Richard Boxer and David Boxer; his sister, Asia, and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Boxer) Hall and his brother, Cecil Hall.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. The interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton, N.J. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
