Antonio A. Carvalho, 76, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020.
Antonio was born in Braga, Portugal. In 1968, he immigrated to the United States where he resided in Newark, N.J. He worked for many years as a clerk for the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maria Amelia Carvalho; two sons, Filipe Carvalho and his wife, Marilyn, and Eduardo Carvalho and his wife, Cecilia; a sister, Isabel Da Silva and her husband, Francisco, as well as his three grandchildren whom he loved and adored, Lily and Emily Carvalho and Edward Carvalho Jr. He was predeceased by his sister, Maria Lourenco and her husband Abilio.
He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Viewing to be held in Braga, Portugal. A Funeral Mass and entombment will be held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, in Braga, Portugal.
