Dearest mother, grandmother who baked special Italian cookies
Antonietta (Ann) Colonna (nee Muccino), age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 at home.
Born in Flushing, Queens, N.Y., to Carmella and Dominic Muccino, she lived in Liberty, N.Y., until her marriage in 1952. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Colonna of 61 years.
Prior to moving to Edison, N.J., Ann lived in Elizabeth, N.J., for more 25 years. She worked at the offices of Dr. Feman before retirement. She loved to cook and bake, especially her Italian cookies, but most of all she loved spending time with her cherished family.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Joseph (2013). She is survived by her four children, Donna Kilanowski and husband Rich, Joseph Colonna and wife Kathy, Carolyn Cafaro and husband Giulio, and Tina Beckish; seven grandchildren, Kevin and wife Megan, Kelly and husband Giuseppe, Kyle and wife Kayla, Keith, Ryan and fiancée Kelsey, Christopher and Lindsay; and four great-grandchildren.
She was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her loving husband, Joe.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Mass is at 10:15 a.m. at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen, N.J. Cremation to follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, N.J.
